The video screening and analytics technology from Cognitec, FaceVACS-VideoScan, allows users to perform complex searches and analyses on persons appearing in real-time camera streams and video footage.
The latest product version introduced a user-friendly interface to quickly import sets of recorded video and then carry out detailed investigations. For example, security and law enforcement agents can upload the video files of a specific location, at a specific time, to find possible participants in or witnesses to a crime.
Users can find a person that was previously enrolled in an image database or search for an unknown person and find their appearances in multiple videos. Person searches can also make use of filters that specify age ranges, gender and ethnicity.
