Salto, the global market leader in keyless electronic access control, today launches the SALTO FOUNDATION to empower community development and social inclusion through sport globally, with a key focus in Australia.
Salto and the SALTO WECOSYSTEM group of companies have been unwavering supporters of social and environmental initiatives since inception. This began over 20 years ago when Salto created Free2Move.org, the social initiative still used today to unify our social and sports support efforts.
Frederik Troester, Salto’s General Manager for Oceania, says, “We are excited to launch this important initiative in Australia and throughout the world. The SALTO FOUNDATION is committed to helping make the world more inclusive. Through sport, we want to be part of a world that fosters inclusion and connections between all people, regardless of their physical capability.
“As our company and broader organisation continue to expand, so does our commitment to society, underlining a shared vision of our role in the global arena. Establishing the SALTO FOUNDATION enables us to make an even greater impact around the world,” he explains.
Salto’s Australian team are passionately supportive of the initiative and have already contributed to the foundations aims through recent participation in the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run, Nike Melbourne Marathon and 2XU Melbourne Triathlon. To date, Salto’s Australian team efforts have raised over $11,000 to support Paralympics Australia.
The SALTO FOUNDATION aims to ensure all people can access the best opportunities to enjoy life and do well in society – and that no one is left out or excluded. This move allows us to further explore the transformative power of social inclusion in driving sustainable development goals, focusing on the need to put people first.
The SALTO FOUNDATION mission is to support individuals in vulnerable situations by creating safe and inclusive spaces where they can grow and thrive within their communities through sports.
“More than just physical activity, we believe that sports are a powerful tool for building connections, fostering social inclusion, and breaking down barriers. In promoting teamwork, respect, and solidarity, SALTO FOUNDATION aims to strengthen social bonds, reduce inequality, and provide opportunities for integration and social mobility,” explains Frederik.
The SALTO FOUNDATION is a financially reinforced legal entity that will be an active player in social support. It will set benchmarks for corporate impact investing and operate at the highest standards. It is committed to driving meaningful change, working with NGOs, helping individuals and communities overcome challenges, and building a more just, cohesive society.
Focusing on sports, health, and education, SALTO FOUNDATION will advance the integration and socialisation of underprivileged adolescents and disabled persons globally – and inspire other corporate leaders to do the same.
